Puncak Generasi beralih ke pasaran timur tengah

Kuantan 7 Dis. - Syarikat pembuatan peralatan kotak suis gear elektrik, Puncak Generasi (M) Sdn Bhd. yakin akan dapat menembusi pasaran luar negara khususnya di Asia Barat, pada tahun depan.

Pengarahnya, Fu Toi Ting, berkata, keyakinan itu ekoran kejayaan syarikatnya menghantar peralatan suis gear bervoltan rendah (LV) untuk ujian sepenuhnua di Australia, pada tahun lepas.

Kata beliau, syarikatnya yang mengeluarkan produk termasuk peralatan kotak suis gear dan panel kawalan elektrik turut menyediakan perkhidmatan pengubahsuaian produk tersebut.

“Pada masa ini, sebuah syarikat kontraktor tempatan sudah memulakan operasinya memasang dua peralatan suis gear di projek pembinaan di Dubai,” katanya di sini hari ini.

Selain itu, kata beliau, pihaknya turut menerima banyak pertanyaan mengenai produk yang dihasilkan itu daripada beberapa negara termasuk Amerika Syarikat, China, Bahrain, dan India.

“Kini kami sedang mengenal pasti rakan kongsi tempatan dan asing untuk memasarkan produk ke luar negara,” katanya.

Mengenai standard produk yang dihasilkan, beliau memberitahu ia tidak akan menjadi satu masalah kerana produk mereka adalah menyamai tahap antarabangsa.

Tambah beliau, Puncak Generasi mendapat sijil ISO9001:2000 dua tahun lepas selain sijil daripada Pesatuan Lembaga Ujian Lintar Pintas (ASTA).

Beliau berkata dengan adanya ASTA, ia merupakan kejayaan yang bermakna kepada syarikatnya yang mana sekali gus mendapat pengiktirafan Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) untuk menghasilkan produk suis gear bervoltan rendah.

Kata beliau lagi, syarikatnya yang telah beroperasi selama 16 tahun di kawalan industri Semambu di sini adalah satu-satunya syarikat yang memiliki sijil ASTA bagi kawasan pantai timur.

Beliau berkata dalam mempertingkatan produk mereka, pihak syarikat telah membeli mesin baru dengan kos melebihi RM 1.5 juta.

Beliau menjangkakan pendapatan syarikat meningkat kepada RM 2.5 juta pada tahun ini, berbanding RM 2 juta pada tahun sebelumnya.

Timur: Peralatan mampu ke Timur Tengah
KUANTAN: Syarikat Puncak Generasi (M) Sdn Bhd, satu-satunya pengeluar peralatan suis yang mendapat pengiktirafan Persatuan Lembaga Ujian Litar Pintas (Asta), yakin produk keluarannya mampu menembusi pasaran Timur Tengah, menjelang tahun depan.

Sijil pengiktirafan Asta diperoleh syarikat itu selepas peralatan suis keluarannya berjaya melepasi ujian di Australia, tahun lalu.

Selain itu, Puncak Generasi turut menerima sijil ISO 9001:2000 dua tahun lalu dan mula melakukan promosi secara agresif melalui laman web syarikat bersekutunya di www.grandspektra.com.my

Ditubuhkan pada Julai 1991, syarikat itu mempunyai kepakaran dalam pengeluaran pemasangan peralatan suis bervoltan rendah (LV) seperti papan suis elektrik, panel pengagihan, panel kawalan dan kotak litar.

Ia juga menyediakan perkhidmatan dan pengubahsuaian peralatan suis.

Pengarah Puncak Generasi, Fu Toi Ting menyifatkan kejayaan memperoleh sijil ASTA sebagai satu pencapaian penting kerana secara langsung mendorong Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) memberi kelulusan syarikat itu mengeluarkan produk kategori ketiga, iaitu pemasangan suis gear pelbagai kuasa.

Fu, 59, bersama rakannya, Tan Ah Chai menubuhkan syarikat itu dengan membuka kilang pemasangan suis di Kawasan Perindustrian Semambu, Kuantan, sejak 16 tahun lalu.

Beliau sudah terbabit dalam perniagaan keluarga dan berpengalaman lebih 30 tahun.

Fu berkata, syarikat itu kini sedang mengenal pasti rakan kongsi tempatan dan luar negara sebagai persediaan memasarkan produk keluarannya ke luar negara.

“Saya yakin tidak menghadapi masalah kerana produk keluaran syarikat kami memenuhi piawaian antarabangsa.

“Malah, kini peralatan suis keluaran syarikat kami sudah dipasang oleh kontraktor Malaysia bagi projek pembinaan di Dubai,” katanya.

Setakat ini, katanya syarikat itu menerima banyak pertanyaan daripada luar negara termasuk dari Amerika Syarikat, China, Bahrain dan India.

Beliau berkata kejayaan syarikat itu adalah hasil sokongan 25 kakitangan yang berdedikasi dan penggunaan peralatan moden.

“Kami juga melakukan ujian dan kawalan kualiti bagi memastikan produk keluaran menepati kehendak pelanggan,” katanya.

Setakat ini, katanya syarikat membelanjakan lebih RM1.5 juta bagi melengkapkan loji pengeluarannya dengan peralatan terkini, termasuk jentera penebuk AMADA yang berharga RM1 juta.

Fu menjangkakan pendapatan syarikat itu meningkatkan kepada RM2.5 juta tahun ini berbanding RM2 juta tahun lalu.

Enterprise 50: Puncak Generasi sets sights on foreign shores
The switchgear maker is now identifying Malaysian and foreign partners to market its products overseas

BEING the only ASTA-certified switchgear manufacturer on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Puncak Generasi (M) Sdn Bhd is confident that it can penetrate foreign markets, especially the Middle East, by next year.

The company attained the ASTA (Association of Short-Circuit Testing Authorities) certification after sending its low-voltage (LV) switchgear assembly for full-type testing in Australia last year.

Incorporated in July 1991, the company specialises in manufacturing LV switchgear assemblies such as electrical switchboards, distribution panels, control panels and enclosures. It also provides servicing and site modification of such products.

“Obtaining the ASTA certification is a significant achievement as it has prompted the Public Works Department to upgrade Puncak Generasi into the III category, which means that we can build LV switchgear assemblies of any ampere,” Puncak Generasi director Fu Toi Ting told Business Times.

Fu, 59, is not a greenhorn as his family has been involved in the business for more than 30 years.

He teamed up with friend Tam Ah Chai to set up the Puncak Generasi plant in the Semambu Industrial Area in Kuantan 16 years ago.

“We are now identifying local and foreign partners to market our products overseas. It should not be a problem as our products are of international standard,” he said.

A Malaysian contractor has already installed two of the company ’s switchgear assemblies at their construction projects in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Fu added.

Puncak Generasi obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification two years ago. In May this year, it promoted its business through an associate company ’s website.

“We have received many enquiries from other countries, including the US, China, Bahrain and India,” Fu said.

He added that Puncak Generasi has the capability to serve local and foreign markets with the support of its 25 dedicated employees and modern machinery.

The company has invested more than RM1.5 million to acquire the latest machinery, including the AMADA turret punch machinery that cost RM1 million.

“We also do the testing at our plant, and the quality control aspect has won praises from our clients and the authorities.” Fu expects revenue to increase to RM2.5 million this year from RM2 million before. Net profit is expected to double once the company secures partnerships with local and foreign companies to help market its products.

To fulfil its corporate responsibility, the company takes in 20 trainees from various agencies every six months. It will double its intake next year.

“This is how we pay the goverment back for the help we have received, ” he said.
